The latest news that’s got everyone excited is the partnership of mobile wallet MobiKwik with the ever popular application Truecaller. Now all Truecaller users automatically get an account with MobiKwik thus saving the effort of going through a registration process.
Mrinal Sinha, Chief Operations Officer of MobiKwik said at the announcement, “At MobiKwik, we are committed to constantly innovate to elevate the users’ payments experience. With this partnership, we now offer an even smoother registration process that works instantaneously.” Mrinal also added that this new tie-up has contributed to over 30% of daily sign ups on the MobiKwik app. Truecaller users can download the MobiKwik app for Android, Apple or Windows and then directly select the option that allows them to log in with their pre-registered Truecaller information, thus seamlessly integrating them with the mobile wallet. Once you’re logged in you can refer friends and earn bonus cash, add money to your MobiKwik wallet, directly pay your bills or simply go through the special offers for the day on the app.
Priyam Bose, Director of Worldwide Developer Relations at Truecaller, said, “App developers have been looking for minimizing friction in the critical step of user registration or on-boarding to create user delight and catalyse growth and engagement. Truecaller’s TrueSDK is the right fit in fulfilling this critical need with its one touch phone number based signup kit. With MobiKwik, we are truly committed to offer a smooth user registration experience for millions of users.”
Founded by Bipin Preet Singh and Upasana Taku in 2009, MobiKwik is one of the lightest digital wallets available, taking up a minimal space of 5MB on your smartphone. A user has to add money to the MobiKwik app and can then use this wallet as a method of payment across the internet. account information on various websites. For those who are still sceptical, MobiKwik is also bears an approval from the Reserve Bank of India, thus making it a safe method of transacting.
MobiKwik is affiliated with over 100,000 retailers to date. At absolutely no additional cost, you can pay utility bills, order food, book movies tickets or simply shop over the internet at your convenience. Some of the leading retailers affiliated with this digital wallet include Uber, Meru Cabs, Pizza Hut,
Burger King, Domino’s, Big Bazaar, Archies, Barista, Allen Solly, Go Daddy, BookMyShow, OYO Rooms, PVR, Zomato, MakeMyTrip, Jabong, Myntra, eBay and many more. The app also offers a feature whereby you can discover offline retailers in your area that accept payment from it thus proving to be a boon for those who are fans of cashless transactions. We at Hotcore always look forward to your take on tech developments.
